1. The licensee must work only under the direct supervision of the supervisor named in this Agreement (supervisor). The supervisor must be physically present at the same job site as the licensee and must monitor the licensee's conduct at all times while the licensee is performing work under the license. 2. If the supervisor is not present on the job site because of a meeting, then the supervisor will inform the licensee, project manager and/or superintendent on the job site. The project manager or superintendent on the job site will take over supervision of the licensee and must monitor the licensee's conduct at all times while the licensee is performing work under the license, until the supervisor returns to the job site. 3. The licensee may work on new construction, industrial job sites, or commercial buildings, so long as the supervisor is on the same job site and in sufficiently close proximity to allow the supervisor to monitor the licensee's conduct at all times on the job site. 4. The licensee must not work at any type of occupied residence or residential facility, including but not limited to single or multiple family houses, apartments, condominiums, mobile homes, recreational vehicles, hotels or motels, dormitories, or other facilities in which persons reside, either permanently or temporarily. The licensee must not work near an occupied residence or residential facility unless the residence or residential facility is adjacent to a new construction or industrial job site, or commercial building or facility and the licensee remains on the property of the industrial jobsite or commercial building or facility at all times. 5. At all times the licensee is on a jobsite, the licensee must carry or have access to a legible, paper copy of this Agreement. Upon request by any person, the licensee must allow the person to read the Agreement.

Apprentice Electrician

An Apprentice Electrician license authorizes the holder to perform electrical work in Texas under the direct supervision of a Journeyman or Master Electrician while accumulating the 8,000 hours required to test for the journeyman license. An apprentice may not work unsupervised, may not pull permits, and may not contract for work. The license is the entry point for an electrical career in Texas and is the most numerous electrical license type held statewide.
